I want to take them out to dinner, and need suggestions on an excellent restaurant, preferably one located on a uper floor of a tall building. Does anyone know of one? Please help!

Yes like others said, if you want the top of a building, go with the Skies resturant in top of the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Crown Center. (Kansas City Missouri) I personally thought it was cool that it rotates around, but the food was overpriced and the portion sizes were tiny.
For just a large group of nice resturants, take her to the Plaza where you can enjoy the atmosphere, fountains, and a horse and carriage ride.
By the way, this is in Kansas City Missouri too, and I know you had mentioned Kansas City, KS...sorry, but no super fancy resturants over there yet. But one day if you and this person hit it off, you can take her to Chateau Avalon, which is a romantic hotel in Kansas City Kansas. But first things first - get dinner out of the way. :)

Do you know what kind of food they like, i.e. steak, seafood, Italian, etc.? Impressing them with a fancy restaurant won't go far if they don't like the food served! :) Try to find out what they enjoy eating, and go from there.
The Country Club Plaza area has a lot of very nice restaurants, and it's a great place to stroll around before or after dining - you can even take her on a carriage ride, and cuddle under the blanket! :) They have Cinderalla-pumpkin style carriages that are very romantic, if a bit cheesy.
One thing I will tell you is that the nicest restaurant in the world can't make up for a bad date, so be sure to be a gentleman, keep the conversation flowing, and tell her how nice she looks. :)

Go to The Skies Restaurant. It's at the top of the Hyatt Hotel near downtown Kansas City, Missouri. It rotates slowly, and it gives great views of the city, especially at night.

I noticed people mentioned Skies, but there is also the American which is on top of Crown Center. It's down the street from Skies. Skies is more popular, but you might want to look into both of them. I went to Skies personally and it was awesome. A friend of mine went to the American and she had a great time as well. Good luck.

I know there is some place like that downtown although I do not know the name of it. There is also a lot of good placed to eat down at the plaza. Chicks like the Plaza.

skye's is great. It is located on the downtown plaza & it is a rotating restraunt on the top floor of a high building.

Try the Plaza. It doesn't have any tall buildings but is a very up-scale shopping area.

Hyatt hotel has a nice resaurant on top of their tower. It slowly rotates and has great view 360degree of the city.

Hyatt Hotel is awesome! its a little pricey but your girl will love you for it - trust me! and the whole thing rotates over looking the city.
