Perhaps USA should pull out of the Iraqi Civil War. The Sunni and Shia have hated each other for 1400 years.

If USA pulled out than Iran will come in and support the Shiites. But, most Muslims are Sunni and they hate the Iranians (who are Persian, not Arab).

So, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Jordan will help the Sunni. A pan-Arab war will break out. Saudi Arabia vs. Iran.

Both sides will need to fund their war and thus, lower oil prices. Jihadists will be killing each other.

Fighting will continue until level heads and moderate Muslims realize that revenge and mindless killings are not the way to go. Arabs will have sorted themselves out.

Do you think that scenario is preferable? Perhaps the world will be better off that way and that is what's needed.

That is the best idea I have heard yet. Maybe that Bush isn't so dumb after all...

The war between the Shiites and Sunnis will escalate. Saudi Arabia has already stated if we pull out, they will back the Sunni's. It is also no secret that Iran has been supplying the Shiites. This could in turn draw in more countries to fight. If Iran wins, which they would, they would then control 1/2 of the worlds supply of oil. Which affects everyones price for crude world wide. The price of crude also has an effect on eveything we purchase from groceries, clothing, everything pretty much that can be bought or sold. It will also give them more leverage to obtain nuclear weapons capabilities, and to continue sponsoring terrorists world wide. The impact of a war in the ME could turn out to be catastrophic to every nation on this planet. If this senario turns out to be true, the US would have to send more men and women into harms way, into a much more dangerous situation. If we leave before Iraq's government can stand up to enemies foreign and domestic, the US will hand the enemy a victory. Usama Bin Laden has said that America has no stomach for war. That when the going gets tough, so do the Americans. It is sad that he seems to be right!

No to all. The resulting fallout would have implications that would affect the entire globe and none that could remotely be described as good for anyone involved. Best to go to the root of the problem (Iran) and deal with it in my opinion. What better place to stage from than Iraq?

Not really, eventually because we have allowed ourselves to be slaves to the oil, we would eventually get pulled back into it some way, some how.
The disruption in the flow of oil due to a regional war in that area would have devastating effects on our way of life.
The other issue is we are still allies with Israel and you know they would wind up being pulled into a war of this nature, it may wind up pulling us in to aid them...if it got that bad.

Think the wealthy Arab nations would let that happen? Think those nations would want to sacrifice their wealth and resorces and let the Al-Sadr and the Al-Quedas disrupt their comfy lives. Only fools would believe that they would sit still and wait for terrorists to do the grabs.

Right now, they are sitting back and cheering to America being their purse and nursemaid sending only Americans to die in Iraq! They are smarter than so many of our foolish Americans think!

in case you do no longer ignore, there replaced into as quickly as one greater seize 22 concern occurring in Washington collectively as. President Clinton replaced into as quickly as interior the midsection of an impeachment approach. So all expertise replaced into as quickly as on that. I evaluate he signed it(Oct,ninety 8), to assuage the "borderline" Republicans on his impeachment vote. yet i do no longer believed there replaced into as quickly as any investment disbursed or it. It replaced into as quickly as purely a ploy to place Saddam on the mat. And as classic, those dictators do no longer scare, for the reason that we can possibly no longer purely bypass in and "do it". We conflict a "politically precise conflict" in any respect circumstances. the main helpful "cookies" Clinton had have been putting out below his table.

It doesn't matter when we pull out, there will be fighting. As for your scenario, that's one of a thousand possible scenarios, we have no way of knowing if they will get "level-headed" or not

That is a pretty insane scenario. Your theory is flawed since before we went in Iraq, this was not happening.
