So many great answers...it is heartening to see most people see this in the same light that I do...thanks for all the great input.

I have noticed something interesting. Initially most answers came in generally in support of my conjecture that there is a gay agenda (with a supposition that it is not a good thing), but as the positive votes piled up all of a sudden the thumbs down started taking over the "good" answers...are the gays that well organized? Very interesting conclusion...

Mark, I only had limited space to both make my case and ask a question...thank you for expounding on it for me...your logic was sound, just your compass is rather off I would say. I'm sure a genuis like you can figure that out..:)

there is a gay agenda. they aim to undermine religion. i had a gay friend who told me to take that filthy thing off of my car. i had bought a used car and it had the sign of the fish thing on the back. i questioned him, filthy thing? he said yes, the religious symbol. now how can i deal with a person who demands equal rights and treatment if he was refusing to allow me my rights, to have my fish thing on my car, calling me hate filled because it denounced his lifestyle? i did not hate him or is gayness, but he sure hated my opinions and wanted them removed from sight. double standard.
they do have an agenda and its appalling.

Can you please list one thing that the 'gay agenda' wants that is beyond what other people have in the U.S.?

I keep hearing that they want to be put on a pedastal. Back this one up with some examples please? Whats one thing that they are asking for that you yourself don't have?

Mikesporkbun - Thats just ridiculous. One person has a problem with your religious beliefs and somehow all gays are out to destroy your religion? Thats about the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Odd how I see more christians trying to pass laws to restrict things based on their beliefs than I do gays trying to pass laws to restrict things based on their beliefs.

Curious_one - People dont choose to be gay. They are or they aren't. Do you really think people would choose to be persecuted the way they are if there was a way around it? And I really don't see how wanting the right to marry someone you love affects you one way or another. Or does it come down to you needing to feel superior to a group of people? Does it make you feel any better to restrict someone's access to the same rights that you enjoy? Pathetic!

Only 1 in 10 are in court. 9 out of 10 hets are in court. They want the same rights under law as hets. They aren't asking anyone to approve of their lifestyles. Heck, my dad thinks women should be housewives and not vote (I'm serious). If my dad had his way, women wouldn't have the same rights as men. Would that be the right thing to do in regards to women? Its not comparing apples to oranges, it is the same thing. Just because someone may not agree with or approve of someone different doesn't mean they (the people with the , heh, "agenda") should have less opportunities and rights than others.

It's a Civil Rights issue for the most part. That's why they are in court. Equal this, equal that. no discrimination... etc. Just like the 1960's only a different minority group.

Homosexual chauvinism is as bad as any other chauvinism. It is the bedrock of fascism. Gays should be allowed to go about their peaceful business and pursuit of happiness but we should not be forced to accept their lifestyle as legitimate if we do not believe so. On the other hand, the majority should not be able to decide what is best for gays. We live in a republic, not a democracy, and sometimes the court is the last bastion for a person's rights.

I don't like gays shoving their agenda around. I don't want to know anything about their lifestyle and i don't want them around me it sickens me as ya know the parts don't fit.

Defending themselves from discrimination in court does not constitute a "gay agenda".

They are trying to get equal rights and opportunites. (To marry, to live/work where they want, to serve in the military, to not be discriminated against because of something they did not choose) That's it, nothing more, nothing less. The people seem to think they can choose who gets what rights, so where else can they turn to for help?

Gay people already have the same rights everyone else does. they can marry someone of the opposite sex just as i can.

i've chosen to be heterosexual. i'm married to a person of the opposite sex.

if i didn't want this lifestyle i would have chosen to live alone or to become a nun.

this is just the way I chose to live my life. it was a choice for me. no one forced me into living as a heterosexual. i have also chosen to keep quiet about my lifestyle. i do not wish to share or shout it to everyone that i meet that i am a heterosexual. i do wear a wedding ring on my left hand ring finger. if you see that you are safe to assume i am married.

It is amazing to me that such a small portion of the public has as much influence as they do. Their influence per capita is far greater than any minority group in the history of this country.
