CAn you do things without your friends? If your friends do not wish to join any school clubs, it doesn't mean you can't. You should join whatever makes you feel comfortable. Maybe if you join a few and your friends see what you do and how much fun you have, it just might give them the notion to join as well. Join the clubs my dear and enjoy high school while it lasts. Clubs in school are fun and you get to make new friends as well. Good luck to you.

That nervous feeling goes away quite quickly once you start doing the thing that is making you nervous. You don't need to convince your friends, you just need to do what you want to do. After you join and start talking about having a great time in your clubs, then they might want to join you.

Can you have more friends?
If so, What harm is it for you to make new ones in the clubs in school?
It is apart of emotional and personal growth to go out and meet new people. Go, have fun. if your existing friends got a problem with it, do not bother with them anymore, they are not your true blue friends.

All that matters is that you become and develop who you feel you are and not how your friends want to see you. So by all means join the clubs and anything else you wish to do and if your friends accept it then there your friends if they think your weird for it then forget them. Why should you be anyone else but who you want yourself to be. Friends aren't worth it unless they accept who you really are.

Do whatever YOU want to do. If they don't follow, don't worry. You will make friends in the clubs and then you'll have more friends, two sets.

Go on your own. You will, most definitely, meet new friends to add to your old group. Don't rob yourself of this experience!
