No, Cat spent the entire day at the drivers' license place taking the test and waiting for the driving test, and then driving all over Iowa - or nearly - afterwards. It was way fun. More fun than a party! Still like to drive. In Iowa, it's freedom, more so than in a big city - because there was NOTHING (count 'em) NOTHING NOTHING AND LESS THAN NOTHING to do in Cat's small town. Wasn't even big enough for a Scout troop or a 4-H group!
yer welcome.!
purrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

I didn't have a Sweet Sixteen, I was living on my own, going to school and working two jobs. Hey, my 36th birthday is five years away...maybe I could have a party twenty years too late lol.

I don't think I even got a party, let alone a car! I don't really remember. Things are a little blurry between the ages of eleven and seventeen.

no car. just a reg b-day...we didn't go crazy over the 16th back then like they seem to be now.
I really don't understand why these girls are getting away with this...the amount of money they are spending on their parties...will there be anything left for their weddings???

Nope- I love watching the spoiled brats on that show. Imagine looking back 20 years later- I would be so embarrassed if I were them

no but i had a quinceañera, it wasnt anything big, just celebrated a mass & my family cooked a dinner for me. . . really didnt ask for a huge party since i knew my parents couldnt afford it & i didnt want one. . . heck im getting married soon & there's not going to be a huge party, just my (soon to be) hubby, family, & myself, why spend money so everyone else can party when we can save it & pay for our furniture & stuff we need!!
oh yeah, & no i didnt get a car, i bought my own once i started working.
