Cheney avoided the draft during Vietnam. He is a former CEO of Halliburton and has a vested interest in the war. Who's interest do you think he puts first? Rice is an apologist for failed policies. She's a PR person who echoes the official line. Bush is an idiot. His family has ties to oil companies and Saudis. Recently, the administration hasn't even been putting their own party's best interest first, let alone the country's. In the long run this is good, though. After 2008, the Democrats will easily win back the Executive Branch like we did the Legislative Branch. We will once again put the America's best interest first.

I may disagree with your assessment of what a neocon is and whether any or all of these three are neocons, but that aside I would say an emphatic YES that these three especially put the country's best interest before their own. Whether or not you agree with their position on issues is another thing, or even whether their ideas are successful or not, I firmly believe they are doing what they think is right for the long term best interest of America.

I don't think it is possible to put anyone's interest above your own. There is always some factor of self interest that motivates all of our actions. There is no truly selfless act, so no one can truly put the good of another before their own.. But they can do things to benefit the country to get the votes they need in the next election to help their own interest. It's how everything works, except welfare.

The Iraq War was their baby. They remind me of those foolish Enron rascals, who refused to admit Enron's failure, but kept up with their manipulation activities and clinging on to their jobs and their remunerations, hoping against home that they can continue to fool all. Those supporting Bush's plan will definitely fall into drastic disgrace - if all things failed and we don't have the time to pull every American out of Iraq for safety! They'd be booed for the rest of their lives!

Nope. And for that matter I have no problem with that. It's what America is BASED on. Doing for ourselves is what makes us great as a nation. Period.
And to Jesi-if you think Cheney is a true conservative you need your head examined.

Let's see....when America was at war in Vietnam, Bush went AWOL from the cushy stateside post his daddy got him and Cheney had "other priorities". What does that tell you.

Rice is nothing but a pathological liar and token colored girl shilling for the lunatic right-wing fringe.

This question as been asked a million times a million different ways by a million different people. Find another argument because this one is old and lame. And what does NEOCON mean? I doubt you have a clue.

I don't know about Cheney and Rice, I think they just blindly follow. I know that W just thinks he's doing Gods work, seriously.

I was brought up under the premise of 'Action speaks louder than words', bearing that in mind I think I have answered your question.

IMPEACH Bush and Cheney.
