Between now and March 1st I only have 6 days off work! That seems insane, but hey, overtime is good I guess.

I'm in marketing, dealing with customers on a daily basis. And my lunchbreak has to be taken at the desk since there is no one to relieve me. Sounds crazy, but I kinda like it...I get tired, sure..but it still seems odd too

Depending on the labor laws (state) in your area, this would not seem unduly odd. Not every job is a 9-5 Mon-Fri. There are some part time jobs that could, theoretically, schedule you in such a way that you wouldn't get OT and also only have 6 days of work off between now and March.

Since you added details, I will now too. :)

There are no FLSA (Fair Labor Standards Act) or DOL (Department Of Labor) laws that regulate how or how many hours a person can be scheduled. One thing to know for sure is that if you are required to stay at your desk for your lunch break because there is no one to relieve you or because the requirements of your position dictate that someone always be there (meaning - you), then your company is required to pay you during your meal break. Depending on the laws of your state, you may earn overtime if you work more than 8.00 hours in a day. Otherwise, it's only if you work more than 40.00 hours in your company's established work week. I believe there may be some states that have some really convoluted Overtime laws (California being one of them) but the above covers the basics.

What type of job do you have? Is it in retail and only working a few hours a each day?

Over time is good but you also don't want to work your self to death
