I'm a 24/f I recently moved and while packing i realized just how unorganized i really am, i was wondering if anybody has any organization tips for any part of the house, kitchen, bedroom, bath, etc. Its just me and my husband but we have a good amount of belongings, i have many clothes, purses and shoes, not a ton of closet space so i bought a couple of those plastic closets, we moved into an adorable 2 bedroom duplex, so we do have a spare bedroom, any advice would be greatly appreciated

Hiya,
Not knowing exactly what you have for space or belongings to occupy said space, it's a little tough to say for sure BUT one thing you can do is BEFORE you start stowing things away do the following:
- Lay out everything that you want to go in a certain room.
- Donate/dispose of ANYTHING you have not worn in a year or have not used in a year. If the idea of dusting it in 6 months is too much to bear, get rid of it.
- Organize what's left by season or by how often you use it.
- Put things you use ALL THE TIME in prime, easily accessible areas
- Organize down the "frequency of use" list in this fashion till you're left with "All the other junk"
- Review these again and get rid of as much of it as you can.
- Buy plastic totes and drawer systems to stow the rest as methodically as you can.
Good luck

Your best bet is to make use of every little space you have. I would utilize the second bedroom (unless you plan on using it for another purpose) as a closet. Place the plastic closets in there. For all your shoes and purses I suggest taking pictures of the shoes and placing the picture on the outside of the shoebox so you know exactly what is in there. If you have any other questions about organizing (I love organizing by the way) just contact me.

First of all, you are going to have to go thru EVERYTHING and see if you really need it, want it, or are going to use it. Women accumulate a lot of things because we think it's either the wrong season or someday we will fit into them. So, if something you own isn't beautiful, loved, or useful, then toss it or donate it. Clothes and shoes you have not worn in a year need to go. Buy a closet organizer, which may require some assembling but will help you a lot. As for communal things you and your husband may have (couches, appliances, etc), you'll have to ask yourselves which one you can get rid of and which one will stay. Don't hold onto things because 'one day' you'll use it. Use the spare closet for seasonal things you don't use often (winter coats, party dresses) and to store extra blankets. Good luck!!

Storage containers, storage shelves, the slide under the bed storage containers, over the door shoe racks, keep out of season clothes in storage bins so they're out of the way. Some of those plastic drawers work good for underwear and stuff in your closet. I hang my purses all on hangers. One of those over the toilet shelves would work good for toiletries and that kind of stuff. I live with my fiance in a 750 sq ft one bedroom, so I know how you feel lol

verify you label each and every thing of course, as an occasion, Kitchen pots & pans, kitchen glasses, and so on. do away with any trash or junk which you do no longer choose it relatively is purely taking on room at your place now. Your commencing over and you do no longer opt to take junk with you. additionally one significant tip, p.c.. one field to take with you and unpack immediatly you would be wanting lavatory paper, paper towels, any medicine which you are going to choose asap, and so on. Make this the 1st field you progression and the 1st field you unpack. you would be happy you finished this fantastically in case you have a spill and have something you ought to freshen up precise away or in the adventure that your in a unexpected rush for the bathing room, you wont opt to be spending a while searching for the lavatory paper. :) good success and congrats on the abode.

Post it notes are the key to organizing everything. Simply use one post it note per item in you house (you may need two in some cases for the front and back of larger items). Then write on the post it note WHAT the item is (lamp, for example) and WHERE you want it to go (on the table, for example), then all that remains is to stick the post it note on to the item. Once you have done this, you will always know what the item is and where it should go.

use a box for every kind of item, like for the kitchen put all the glass and plates into one box, so that they wont break being with other things, for accesories and shoes another, or you could use a box for each room, and put all the shoes on one side of the box and any other kuind of thing on the other. its much easier wiht the one box per room thing, then u dont have to take everything out just lookimg for everything that goes in one room. for help you can put name tags on the boxes. put all the most used stuff for the bathroom on the sink or near it, same for bath/shower, put it near. then hide all the stuff u never use in a shelf or something. and stuff you use every night on the night tables. just keep things of the same kind with the same kind
