Looks like we're getting mixed responses. "Set" is definitely singular and "revision pages" is definitely plural. How do you know which subject the verb needs to agree with, the plural one or the singular one?

The verb "IS" describes the second set, not the revision pages.

The true subject is a second set (you ignore "of revision pages" as that is a preposition) soo it is: A second set IS going to be released. NOT a second set are going to be.

The answer is IS. I loved English in Highschool & took Business English in college.

I didn't know you were trying to do homework, sorry! The above is how you understand it. :)

Listen to Avatar, Poetic, below... that's right!

The word people are looking for to explain set is "collective" not plural. Other examples might be:

The team is/are.

The collection is/are.

The group is/are.

The correct word to use with set is "is." I hope my examples make this obvious.

Regards and good luck.

Is. Set is NOT plural; it's singular. Don't be fooled.

"is" because if you say it this way....a second set "is"..then say it...a second set "are" which one sounds correct? it might be talking about pages but actually it is referring to pages in "A SET.
