nope...i'm a pens fan. it's a rivalry thing.....
i do like to see them improving like the pens though. hopefully both teams will overtake the frickin' rangers and shut their fans up for awhile!

I personally don't know any Islander fans. Of course I live in Canada, so close to 90% of the people I know are evenly split between being Toronto or Montreal fans, with others being split between Edmonton and Boston. Also since I'm from the hometown of Sidney Crosby, a disturbing number of penguin fans be found.
When I lived in residence at university a few years back I knew a girl who was Isnlander fan, now that I think of it. Although she was more an A. Accoin (sp?) fan, because they grew up on the same street, so no she's probably a Black Hawks fan.

the Rangers are new yorks team islanders dont get much fans besides people from long island so unless your from long island or of course grew up in the early 80's which was the only time the islanders where ever good then your most likely a rangers fan or maybe a devils fan so look for another team b/c the islanders suck and they also were voted for having the 2nd uglyist hockey jersey in hockey history (the fisherman) which just supports the fact that the islanders suck and RP or dippy w/e you call him is over rated and giving him a 15 year deal was one of the worst deals ever made in hockey history thats all from me oh and LETS GO RANGERS!

As an ex New Yorker, I have always been a big Islander fan. Used to love watching them in the old Nassau Coliseum. Bossy, Potvin, Gilles, etc. Those were the days. The Islanders will be back again someday. Hopefully before I die.

First let me congratulate you on sticking with your team even when they aren't atop the standings. Most people in NY are suddenly Sabre fans and in the early-mid 90s were Ranger fans. And when the Islanders won the Cup 4 times in a row they were the toast of NY. I hate bandwagon fans but my hometown does the same thing. I guess its just easier to be a fan when your team wins. I'm mostly a western conference guy myself so I don't follow the Isle to closely but I respect the team.

I don't love them, but I don't mind them either. I have DiPietro on 2 fantasy teams and still have a soft spot for Ted Nolan.
I think they try really hard and are a decent team.

SORRY....I'm a rangers fan, but the isles have been beating up on them lately....they do have a good squad though..
I do know 0ne isles fan though......
