You always hear that in birth order studies the oldest of three children will be the most responsible.

My mother had seven. I'm number 6 and she got cancer shortly after my one and only younger sibling was born. So her "baby" was petted A LOT growing up and the oldest 3 were all boys and Dad was crazy about his sons and then there was the oldest girl who was gorgeous and my other older sister who got fawned over. I never felt unloved- I just felt that in my huge family, I had somehow been overlooked.

I always knew they loved us all the same, there was never any doubt about that. I just learned early on to do for myself and not expect anyone to help me out.
