okay, i gotta friend who is really insecure and really doesnt have a defined style or attitude of her own. We've been hanging out more often and now she's starting to act like me, bluntly and shamelessly, and starting to like things i like and trying to one up me on being me? I guess trying to be arrogant about it, is what i'nm trying to say. For example, i was making a comment on a celeb crush ive been a fan of for a long time and she's just started noticing him because of me. I made a silly comment on how i would eat a picture of him we were looking at, and then she says "well i dont know if i'd do that, but i'd eat him". *****. thats what i meant. but she said it more bluntly, like she thought i was retarded
she's starting to wear the clothes i wear and wanting to dye her hair the colour i get it, and her boyfriend (a good friend of mine) is starting to call her out on it, but she insists she isnt.
I'm pretty angry about it.
should i do something about it?
or just let it go?

Just Let It GO.
She Obviously Looks Up To You And You Should Be Flattered.
But Dont Get Upset Just Because Somebody Is Trying To Find Themself Through You. God......High School.....Im Glad Its Over.
Just Be Yourself And Eventually She Will Too!

confident, that's stressful while somebody hijacks issues which you think approximately very own to your self. yet enable's be truthful - you in all danger have been given your innovations from someplace else as quickly as upon a time. by the sounds of issues, you're the two on your little ones. little ones are notoriously fickle and that's not uncommon for them to alter photograph and song tastes in one day. She in all danger sees you as a place type in some techniques. you may in comparison to that yet you will desire to take it as a compliment. There a pair of issues that are troubling approximately your question. 'She is responsive to not something relating to the bands that she sees me donning....'. i'm uncertain what which potential precisely, even even though it potential which you're following developments and copying form merely as much as she is. song isn't approximately what you place on. the different element is that screamo, option and punk are far from underground or unpopular forms of song. the different teen is listening to that form of stuff those days - that's not something modern. some human beings would argue that that's a fad, slightly, merely the latest admired element. From somebody who spends lots of time digging for genuine high quality, unpopular song (me), the assumption is merely approximately laughable. that's not the top of the international if she copies your innovations. yet we could not think of for a minute that they are your innovations initially. Edit - Sorry, wasn't attempting to choose you. i don't be responsive to you yet each thing I reported exchange into maximum appropriate, appropriate? you will desire to tell me the place I went incorrect.

It seems like shes idolizing you in a way...I mean yes it might have been flattering to you in her eyes...but your obviously upset about this...I'd tell her that! Make it know that you and her are two different people and you would appreciate if she didnt try to emulate you so much...
Dont be too harsh about it though...just be blunt enough to get your point across :) good luck

I would start acting like her! Not the before her, but the new her. Start one uping the new her, you know the one that wants to be you. That way when you are now cooler than her, you will really just be way cooler than the old you.

as you mentioned she's insecure and probably admires you for not being that way. i wouldn't get mad at it rather be proud that someone thinks that highly of you. it might even just be her way of exploring who she really is...try to put yourself in her shoes for a minute. she probably is trying (in her own way) to achieve your encouragement and support. try to be more compassionate with her and try to find small ways to help her veer off in her own direction.
