Another Earth?

Is there another out there in the universe? If so how do u know?

We don't know. So far, we haven't found one. Seems to me, though, that it's very likely that there are MULTIPLE planets that can sustain life in a similar fashion to Earth. This is a complete guess, based upon the huge number of planets out there (which we haven't been able to count, either).

It's kind of like winning the lottery. Say there's a 1 in a billion chance of getting the winning numbers. Seems pretty unlikely that you'd be able to win not once, but twice, right? But what if you had a billion tickets? Does it seem so unrealistic then?

1) so far, we have found only 209 planets outside our solar system.

2) because of the methods and instruments we use, most of the planets we have found are big (Jupiter size) and very close to their stars. Simply because big planets are easier to find than small ones and because rapidly moving planets are easier to find than slow ones.

3) with only 209 planets which are mostly too big and too close to their stars, the probability of having one of those look like Earth is very close to 0. With time, our instruments and our search methods will improve.

well, there could be another planet that similar to earth. The reason i say that because space is so big, there are billions of other planets in the galaxies.

scientist are trying to discover earth like planets that support life. its possibale but i'm not sure of an exact earth like. maybe something similar

Somewhere out there, there is. Billions of trillions light years away. There has to be.

Don't know. But if you went there, would you meet a person who was a mirror image of yourself? Hmmmmmmmmmmm..........
