GOD help us all if they draft. You think those terrorists are a threat, wait until the american people react to that. Bush will have to declare war on his own land. We will all raise up to kick that butt. Congress has already showed how cocky they are by living off of our money since a government was established in this country. I doubt they will be able to inforce a draft. There are more of us than there are of them and if it ever comes down to it, we will have that fight. Congress is well aware of this and that is why they are trying to make americans believe we are under attack from other countries. In reality, it's our own government who is destroying us. There are hundreds of thousands of people already in the U.S. Military. We will never ever need a draft unless something really really bad happens and Iraq isn't Really really bad and won't be bad enough for a draft.

I think if congress votes for the draft, the people will be furious, therefore congress won't vote for the draft. Has nothing to do with whether the draft would be good for the nation. Has nothing to do with whether we owe some sort of service to our nation.

i would fall off my chair and probably die of shock if they ever started drafting again. The uproar would probably turn over the goverment of the time if that were to try to happen.

I doubt it very much. The only reason it is being brought up is because they want to draw attention to the fact that if your children were going to fight in this war involuntarily, you wouldn't support it.
That's mostly aimed towards the congressmen.

the only folks drafting are engineers and architects. and even if the military started, they don't take mongoloid idiots, so you'll be safe.
