I found one with 84k miles, for $13,888. It looks like new, fully loaded with leather. Has the 5.3 ltr Vortec. Its seems like a good deal from what im seeing others go for, but has been reduced a time or 2. I put about 50k miles a year on my vehicals.

The biggest problem I can see is the 84k miles. At the rate you drive in two years you will be at 184k miles. The Chevrolet Tahoe at 184k is a candidate for major repairs. Also this model does like gasoline. Mileage is likely to average 12-15 mpg around town.

i would go for it...tahoes get better mpg than 12-15 like that one person said. i have a 5.7 vortec and get 17 average mpg, so you should get even better than that. overall they are very good vehicles, normally good past 200,000 miles before major repairs are needed. i think this would be a good, reliable car for you and also very comfortable for those long trips. just make sure to keep the oil changed and it will last a long time.
