So during my first pregnancy I had pre eclampsia/high blood pressure/ I was a swollen mess. My baby was born 7 weeks early at 3lbs. I've been scared ever since to have more kids..My daughter is 4 years old now and I just found out that I'm pregnant again..should I be worried? Has anyone gone through more than one pregnancy with problems?

I had the same problem with my first child. I had high blood pressure and no problem with my sugar, but with my second I had normal blood pressure and above normal sugar. You might not have any problems with your second child so don' t worry because stress can make your pressure go up so calm down and enjoy the pregnancy.

GOOD LUCK

That is my same problem. I had the pre-eclampsia with high blood pressure and my hands, feet, face and legs were swollen. I had my son at 35 weeks but he weighed 4lbs 15.6oz and was 17 inches long. He was healthy and he got out of the hospital the same day as i did. (3 days C-section)
I am scared that it will be the same way next time and that is what makes me scared to have a baby again. My son is now 5 years old. I am 27, not getting any younger and this is what holds me back from having another one. People say that it could happen again then some say no so i don't know what to believe. I guess we will have to just chance it.

Good luck

I had a high-risk pregnancy with pre-eclampsia with my first (he is 3 now). My blood pressure was through the roof, my ankles were the size of footballs and I was induced early. My youngest is 17mos now and I didn't have any of the same problems I had with my first. One of my girlfriends had the same experience. I think some say that you are more likely to have pre-eclampsia if you've already had it, but every pregnancy is different. Mine sure were. Congrats and try not to worry. Too late now right :-)

My cousin went through almost the exact same thing with her first....including 7 weeks early. Her second pregnancy, which was only about 1 1/2 years later was perfectly normal and she carried to full term. You may want to discuss with your Ob/Gyn any reasons that could have contributed to your problems. Eat right BEFORE you even get pregnant and that will help also.

one of the predisposing factors for PreE/toxemia is first pregnancy, if its a different partner thats the dad its just as big a risk, subsequent pregnancies by same father carry a much less risk.
www.bluribbonbaby.org is really interesting. i've seen some great results from the brewer diet in preventing and even totally reversing it. some of the things in it don't really make sense, docs tell you cut down on salt, this diet says increase it and protein. since with pre e you are spilling protein in your urine it woudl seem to make more sense not to increase your protein intake, but the diet has you do just that. it does work for many.
congrats and good luck

My mother had pre eclampsia when pregnant with me but absolutely no problems with my brother or sister. It is really just a roll of the dice, just because you had it with one doesn't mean you will again. Congrats and good luck!

To rub salt interior the injuries potential if somebody is already hurting dont make it worse yet including to his discomfort and misery. Kick a guy while is down potential this guy or woman is already down on his success so dont make it worse and shop kickin him.
