When I get my period it last all day and all night. I thought it was normal until my friend told me that she doesnt get hers at night and most people dont get them at both times. Does this mean there is something wrong with me? should i see a doctor?

There's nothing wrong with you..Your period last for about what 5 to 7 days..it's an ongoing cycle .. The reason for the menstrual cycle is that it cleans your body from the inside...The kidneys like the liver is a filter so that way the impurities are disposed out of the body during the menstrual period.

Well if there is something wrong with you then there is something wrong with me too. All women's bodies act differently. You should have a regular check up (every woman should) but I have always had my period all day long. Now if the bleeding is extremely heavy you may want to get an appontment sooner rather than later but it is normal.

Your friend gave you BAD information.

You will have your period night and day. It may slow at night but that's because you are lying down.

There is nothing wrong with you. Your friend needs to learn more about periods, though, before she gives out more bad information.

This is fine. Don't worry about it and stick a extra heavy-duty tampon in your vagina. I do this when I get my period. I have heavy periods that last two days and one night (I've got PCOS).
