first of all, gorgeousfluff whatever youre name is, chavs were 'invented' in chatham, so they accent you are referring to is that. second of all, how do you know what a essex accent sounds like? have you actually heard all of the people in essex speak? no, i dont suppose you have. i am not denying that there are chavs in my home town, but at the end of the day you cannot catergorise people just on where they live, no doubt there are chavs in your area too.
and in response to the question, no, nobody likes chavs because they do not understand them most probably. now im not defending any crimes they commit or anything like that, but it is a culture that has stemmed from somewhere, so maybe you should be consulting the parents of these 'chavs'. the reason they are 'all on tv' is because the tv shows in england actually reflect the country we live in. why is it crap? just because its true? no, not all youths are chavs, just like all adults arent punks anymore, or mods or rockers, things like that. back in the day, people were proud to be called them things, and chavs are proud of being chavs.
and think about this one, the more you resent them, the more they will just pi*s everyone off, just for principle sake. so maybe you should focus on how to turn them 'good' if you think they are so bad.

yes, chav culture seems to be spreading. All that dreadful fake Burberry check on their clothes, fake blonde hair extensions, false nails, Essex voices, fake tan, hate 'em all.
Let's bring back some CLASS and style!
I vote me, the GorgeousFluffpot, as president of the newly-established Society to Preserve Etiquette Worldwide (SPEW). Anyone want to join me?

regardless of what a person wears, why should they be stereotyped as some low form etc. you should never judge a book by its cover. why do people have differences of opinion. you tell me. variety is the spice of life and people should be allowed to express themselves how they dress. without being typecast..
peace..
