In the Sims 2 for PC???

Question

How do you put a foundation and a deck? I really have a HARD time trying to put the foundation...I can't put a foundation..what do I have to do to make a foundation for the house??

Click on the foundation tool in build mode.

Then left click on any intersection of your lot grid and hold the button down. Move your pointer diagonally across the lot. Your foundation segments will appear as green "ghosts" of where they will be placed ( they will appear red if you can't place your foundation) when you acheive the size foundation you want, release the mouse button and ta-da you have a foundation.
You must be at least two rows away from the edge of your lot and make sure to allow room for stairs.

The area where you place your foundation must be at the same level as the point you first clicked or lower. It's easier to make foundations that go downhill than it is to try going uphill. Always try to start at the highest point.


To place a deck it's exactly the same but you click on the deck tool first.

To remove a section of your foundation hold the key when you click and drag then release the mouse button after you see the green "ghost" sections you want removed, and poof that section disappears.

Try going through the tutorial in the game ( click on the toy blocks at the main neighborhood selection screen)
It's really good at explaining basic house building and walks you through all the steps.

if i'm not mistaken....choose which foundation you want...then click and drag it to the size you want..if you want to delete the foundation..ctrl,click and drag...

p.s-make sure the level of the ground is the same..if not,u can't put the foundation
