so no your not higher then others im not even so no.
and the number of pages in a book has nothing todo with your ability. Sorry hun but you are a good reader. Keep that up and i bet in a few years your ability will be higher then others.

If you're closer to 9, then I'd say you're a little bit higher than average; if your age is closer to 12, then you're about average.

A good way to find out your reading ability is called the STAR test... I think that's the name of it. It was administered at my gradeschool when I was in 4th grade. You take the test on a computer. It shows one question at a time, and I think there's between 15 and 30 questions total. It's multiple choice. Every question is a sentence with a blank somewhere in it - you fill in the blank with the right word. Pretty simple.
After you take the test, there are results pages to print - one for you and one for your teacher. This page shows at which grade level you currently read, among other statistics. For instance, mine said reading level - 13+, this meant that I read at the same level as a highschool graduate.

Now, that's what the test was like 6 years ago, so it could have changed since then. But still, see if your school can administer this test to you.

Here's the website for it: http://www.renlearn.com/starreading/default.htm

You read very well for your age! Keep it up! You can never read too much. I would say that your reading is above average, however that should be determined by a test at your school. Ask your teacher or principal if you can have your reading level tested. Once that is done you will be given school work that is more appropriate to your reading level. That will make school much more fun and interesting for you!

You are a fantastic reader. Keep it up and keep challenging yourself.

I am so glad to hear that someone between 9-12 is a voracious reader!! You are using your imagination to keep yourself entertained while everyone else is having their entertainment fed to them through video games and tv.

Keep reading! You will have many wonderful moments because of your love of reading. You will be more well-rounded, more experienced, more well-spoken, and more interesting than your peers because of it.

(PS, I second the comment above complimenting your spelling.)

I think it is more tied to the fact that you developed a great love of reading. That is what is drawing you into those books and honing your existing skills. Keep it up - that is the way to reach your potential.

Rock on and keep reading. That's great. I don't know about ability, but it's good to hear that kids are reading given all the other distractions that exist.
