I do not want to be in the same black suits (which I wear everyday). Any other ideas to look professional but graduation looky also??

Also, where should I shop? I tried looking at Express Men, Banana, GAP, etc.

Actually graduating out of a professional management program in the banking industry. That's why I wear a black suit.

OK since you said you are not wearing a graduation robe, then a black suit with a fine pin stripe or herringbone pattern-not bold though, but not a solid black either cause personally that looks a little stiff. Put it together with a burgundy shirt underneath and a similar color burgundy tie with gray and blue tones.Very classy and handsome...

About where to shop...it all depends how dressy you want to be and your body type. Like if you want to go to an all men's clothing store, a big and tall store or bargain shopping like at Wal-Mart or whatever your budget can allow for.

Congratulations you earned it! ;)

It's hard to answer, when you don't tell us what field you're graduating in-- and it could make a difference. For example, if it's as a CPA, any suit or dress slacks, shirt-and-tie, and a sportcoat would be appropriate, but if it's as a mortician you'd better stay with black or very dark gray. (I mention that, because there aren't that many fields where you wear "the same black suits" everyday-- priests, waiters and morticians come to mind, but not many others.)

If you're going to be wearing a robe, then you don't need to spend a lot of money on new clothes-- shined shoes and pressed trousers look good under the hem of the robe, and a white-or light-colored shirt and appropriate tie will be all that show above. If you want to go for the classy look, find a tie in the same colors as your graduating hood (which is usually the school's color combined with the color of your profession-- yellow/gold for pharmacy, pink for music, etc.)

And don't worry too much about it... it's the diploma that's most important, and not what you wear when they hand it to you!

To remain professional, stick with the black suit, but wear a colored under shirt that would make a statement like Pink, Violet, purple, or yellow, make sure it's a brighter color and not pale. Also, you can wear a Handkerchiefs in the pocket and cuff links to make it stand out!

You could wear a sport coat and a nice tie, I'm sure. Just wear your favorite shirt and tie, and a nice pair of pants, and a sport coat. That should be fine!
