First of all where is the love? When a couple moves up there should still be respect for the marriage. Personally I see it as an insult and thank him for letting you see his true self. Nice to know your marriage is only stable in poverty. He knows hes a jerk. Don't waste your time in explaining just get rich and divorce him. Let him have half and catch a disease hell need the money to find a cure.

I am a former stripper at Penthouse gentlemen's club. I am speaking from experience wealthy men WILL try to buy a stripper. Not for a party, but for their bed later on that night at a hotel room... married or not it does not matter. I had never gone home with a man because i am happily married and have a beautiful family, but i have had married men offer me up to $10,000 to spend a weekend with them. If you say that you aren't exactly broke now... I wouldn't trust that he is just joking. He is a jerk, or I am sorry for saying it,but he is a pig.

Being tragically blunt: Sounds like you are the best he could afford when you got married and might have let yourself go a bit. Men of wealth often "trade up" for younger, newer models, but they don't advertise it. The fact that he said it to you is extremely rude. I would say dump the jerk.

Sounds like something that was said in a heat of an argument. I cannot belive it was brought up during a peaceful dinner conversation. You guys need to fight more constructively, is all; arguing well is an art in and of itself. He might be a jerk, but you're the one who married him, so you're just as responsible for the situation. Work on your end of it, and hope he will work on his.

Is he bothered by your comment? Or are you fighting because of his comment?
Either way his was completely uncalled for yours was better left unsaid. Be the bigger person. I would not tolerate thoughts of cheating. If he sits around thinking he would do it with money nothing to stop him from finding some Ho without it.
I dont know if you can make him see he was jerk they are often blind to the shortcomings. Just keep talking to him.

if he had some money to leave u, he would cheat. which makes u believe he is just with u because he has to be. sometimes people say things to us, and don't really see the hurt it causes. u can't make him have sensitivity if he has none. he is probably saying it because he didn't get something he wanted off u, when he wanted it. just a passive aggressive way of dealing with things, sort of like a threat, instead of just talking out the problem.

I think you need to sit down and tell him that he has hurt you and that you do not want him to speak that way to you again. If he continues, than you have problems. Also, remind him that those women may only want to be with him because of the money, but you love hiim for what he is, and you would hope for the same from him.

Seems to me that he has been dwelling on this for some time to even make a statement as that. Your reaction to his statement sounds like you really hit his ego. (Good comeback though,SMILE) Sometimes is it worth the effort to let him see he is a jerk you already know it. Is the fight really worth the fight? Was he looking for a different reaction from you than that one? Did he really mean the statement and if he did why did he marry you?

This is exactly why I woudl be uncomfortable with a man who made a lot of money. This is their attitude. All you can do is hope he doesn't get rich or win the lottery I guess. He sounds a bit mean that he would say that to you.

Tell him if you were rich you would dump his dead beat, good for nothing a ss and get a man who really deserved you.

You can also say that what makes him think beautiful women would want him if he looks like a bumb. They would just take his money and run.
