I agree with many of the previous answers, but I also disagree with some. I don't think we really can "conceptualize" eternity (or infinity). We say we do, but if you actually think about it, you cannot BEGIN to understand how long eternity is.
I think we think about time in our human form only, after we die, our souls will have no concept of time as we know it today. After all, humans are the only species that even have an idea of time as a concept. Other animals use the weather to instinctively go about their business, and if the weather is off...so are their instincts.
In my opinion, God's concept of time is much different than our own. I think to him it's almost like there is no difference between past, present, and future, it is all the same. It's all happening at the same "time," this is why the Bible has the war in heaven in the book of Revelation even though Lucifer has obviously already fallen. This is a big reason I think we cannot understand the time-line of the earth or the universe we live in and match it up to God's writings.
I don't think we are SUPPOSED to be able to understand, and we obviously don't.

i think life is limited, but existence is unlimited
and even though the human mind is finite, infinite things can come from something finite, in calculus, the human brain is capable of dealing with infinity as a number and concept
life is limited because there's a beginning and end, no matter what your definition for the beginning or end is, but existence doesn't have a beginning or end, matter is neither created nor destroyed, even if you don't want to exist forever, you do, your body decomposes and goes back into this cycle, the cycle of the universe, there is no beginning or end to the universe

as quickly as we are born our lives are limitless yet as we improve older and make judgements and a few are made for us by applying our caregivers our lives become greater limited. you may constantly substitute there is often time left. there are 2 uncomplicated options action and non-action. from that factor there are various options afterwards yet substitute is tricky and maximum folk could quite wallow of their previous and undesirable judgements than substitute. you may never circulate decrease back and opposite the undesirable issues you have completed all you're able to do is %. your self up and study from those blunders. make greater beneficial options interior the destiny and your existence gets greater beneficial. a dull end is a sturdy place to coach around.

while the physical brain may have limitations, consciousness, itself, doesn't. that's why we all are, actually, potentially unlimited. tapping consciously into the vast ocean of (unlimited) consciousness is the challenge. usually, meditation, and energy practices help, to a lesser or greater degree, depending on your level of discipline and dedication. the benefits enjoyed are more than worth the effort expended. feeling even a bit freer is quite uplifting ;-)

Cause is a separation from life itself. This is a human and there is life...The greatest truth is that human IS Life, not even a part but whole thing, but do not know it and with all created beliefs will hardly believe in it. And belief is a tool with which consciousness creates here...Tool takes over masters...If one is capable to embrace Life itself, everything will be possible ...
