Intel Core 2 Duo but new processors come out each year so it is really hard to say.

Athlon 64 is a single core processor while thel core 2 duo processor is dual core. The core 2 duo also, is easily overclockable and it has a better l1 l2 cache, so the core 2 duo is better.

Intel used to be far better than AMD.

AMD has since stepped up to the plate, and makes a very comparable product.

You wouldn't notice much difference between the two, unless you were using your computer for some of the newer 3-d games, or if you were doing video/3-d graphics editing, and even then, they are nearly identical.

guess people are behind the times. have an amd anthlon 64 duel core, works good

I like Intel better than AMD, but while compare with the price of each processor, I think AMD is better.

AMD has no answer for the Duo until their k8l which is far off
