Number 2. Florida was highly underated and OSU was Highly overrated so the 2006 game was not a surprise. The Miami/OSU game was not really a surprise either.
Texas beating USC was a surprise as both teams were really good and evenly matched, but Texas played out of their minds and USC made some costly errors such as Bush's bad lateral which became a fumble. Even with Vince's knee touching on the play that Selvin scored on which should have been down right there, Texas would have scored anyway as they had the momentum at that point.
The Texas/USC game will be one of the greatest games ever as no other game will have the star power and appeal that this one had! And I'm a trojan fan.

2006 Florida Gators defeating the Ohio State Buckeyes by the score of 41-14. Even though I am a die-hard Gator myself, I didn't expect this kind of beating. GO GATORS!!

Would say Ohio St. beating The U because Miami had so many good players on their team. Ohio St. was lucky they had Maurice Clarret to destroy Miami's rush defense.

2006 The only people that even saw Florida winning were either Florida or SEC fans. Regardless of what they say now, noone saw 41-14 coming. It has nothing to do with being over-rated or under-rated. Florida showed up and Ohio State didn't.

OSU vs Miami
Texas was undefeated and playing well going into that game.
Given the UM loss to USC in the Rose bowl and how strong the SEC was. It was not that surprising that Florida could pull that off.
