I think the main drawback to become the number one against ipod of ZEN Vision M is it is not supporting universal mass storage support
i.e.
you have to install the zen software eachtime you wanna connect it to a different pc.
One example:
suppose you have a creative ZEN vision M :you have plenty of music, fotos and vidz on it.
Oneday you go outside from your town to somewhere like your friend's house.Alas!ya could not connect the ZEN to his pc to take new songs from him only becoz of the absense of UMS support.
but, creative ZENs sound somehow got better than IPOD VIDEO.
besides, watching video in ZEN is much more better than in an ipod,
[ipod looks fade while zen produce hi-vibrant rez video playing.]
One more ting is there is an recent comment from ipod 80 gig users that they coul not play vidz more than 4 hours[the device gets extremely hot] and actually it is a hidden recommendation that ya should handle not more than 60 gig files on an Ipod 80 gig.
On August 31, 2006, Creative announced that the Zen Vision:M would be made available in a 60 GB size. The 60 GB version also enable users to transfer photos from a digital camera directly to the player with the included USB host adapter cable.
it has an FM Radio Transmitter[FM recording option removed]
it can play MPEG1,2 and YES WMV9!
Its colour depth is 18 bit[ipods 16 bit]
however, ipod got more popularity becoz of its wide variety of support and enhancements.
But my job is not to make you in more deep confusing-if its absense of ums support does not bother you
it would be wise to go for a creative zen vison m,60 gb.

Both offer pretty much the same functionality (music, a music format that's superior to MP3, video, large capacity), but the iPod gives you 33% more capacity, doesn't oversaturate the video picture (on first glance, the Zen makes colors pop more, but it's just that they have the contrast overcranked, which results in shadows obliterating underlying details), has a more intuitive control interface, a nicely integrated computer interface (which will do most of the hard work for you), and now even gapless playback (no pause between consecutive tracks, which is a major source of irritation when two album tracks have a blended transition). The big advantage that I've seen from the Zen is that it's supposed to have a battery that's easier to replace (though this might no longer be true?) or upgrade, but there are actually tutorials that will walk you through changing the battery on an iPod instead of having to pay Apple to keep it tied up for however long it takes them to replace it for you.

I got a Creative Zen Vision W 30GB for Christmas and I love it! Only drawback is that it's heavy, but the picture quality is great! Has more features too.
I've had an iPod before and it's a lot of work; plus there's a certain format and procedure of naming files that takes a lot of work for the movies to play on an iPod. Not to mention also like half the world's population has an iPod...I decided to be different.

The iPod has 75% of the business for a good reason. The ease of use and the nice design make the iPod a no-brainer. No other company integrates the music store (iTunes) with the music player (iPod) like Apple does. Creative has made some nice players, but they are not iPods.

That relies upon what software do you employ, if any. in case you like iTunes you ought to purchase the iPod, that's the only one MP3 participant supported with tips from iTunes. in case you have your music in the different software ( abode windows Media participant, Yahoo music, and so on.) then decide for the imaginitive Zen. while you're making plans to purchase music, in my opinion i think of iTunes is greater efficient, speaking approximately high quality. The undesirable of the iPod is that the only software that's supported with tips from is iTunes, yet relatively it is not a concern.
