I used to hate my hubby's mom too. I referred to her as the wicked witch of the west and all that. But he wouldn't shop and I had to get her gifts. So I went to Big Lots ( in case you don't have them there, it is a bargain store with really junky stuff.) I would pick out something really tacky, but that I could lie with a straight face about. It was usually a horrible serving platter or tacky crystal vase...something loud and low class and best of all cheap, but it looked like I might have spent a lot of money on it and just had bad taste. I enjoyed seeing what ugly thing I could find that fit that description. Unfortunately it backfired. Silly witch loved all the tacky crap. But it was fun. She will have to keep it, to keep peace, and every time you see it, you can laugh about her.

these things won't work because:
she can remove the muzzle
dog poo smell will only last temporarily
if she dies in a car wreck or gets injured, it'll be on your conscience
old people appreciate exlax to get their bowels regulated

keep thinking of more pranks. I only dislike my mom-in-law because she is a crack addict with no shame and refuses to seek help and jumps from boyfriend to boyfriend. she doesn't set a good example at all for her 5 kids including my husband and she wonders why they've all turned out like they have.

I vote for the ex-lax cake. Be sure to melt more of it into her coffee and call it mocha. Then spend the rest of the evening trying to make her laugh. Hard.

A one day pass to the nudist camp, or a ride in a hearse as a preview to the real thing. Or hide some raw shrimp in her curtain rod and let her find the smell , guaranteed to take a few months if not years......

Makes me laugh! Are you really needing a REAL gift? If so, get her something from a store that you know she goes to b/c chances are she is probably the type that will return the item anyways. For instance, she is probably really hard to shop for, so get her something (stemless wine glasses @ $14.99 or something universal) from Target or Walmart. Leave her the gift receipt and she can get herself something.
I had this problem too. I didn't want to get her ANYTHING - she is retched to shop for. So I bought her something generic... knowing she'll return it - just so I had SOMETHING to give the hag.

How about a gift card to a restaurant that you know she hates but that you love? With any luck she will regift it right back to you then you met your obligation, she got no joy, and you have a good meal in your future.

I would go with letter C if you just want to get rid of her lol.

How about this. She isn't your mom so let hubby take care of it. Why is it your responsibility to get her something!?

Why dont you do what my MIL does to us. Give her back something she gave to you. My MIL does that to us. She gives us back everything we ever gave her when she is tired of it. She says she would rather give it back then throw it away. What crap is that?!
