i have been writing about my life and experiences, generally around domestic violence, how do i get someone to notice my work so i can help others?

There is a book called 'Writers & Artists Yearbook 2007' that you can get from any good bookstore (I got my copy from Borders) ,it has a whole section on getting poetry published.It is £14.99.

My friend submitted his poetry to this site:

He got published in a book (1st page!) and even got the poem printed and mounted as a result...

I came in like temth place out of all the people who go on that website so if you go there if they like it you could go on
the contest and you could win money and stuff so you poetry will
be published its not that hard.
