I know a few Iranians, I am not very familiar with their culture, but, barring culture, I think we are all pretty much the same.
They are presently in a desperate political situation. "Leaders" do not necessarily reflect the views of the majority of the population, especially in non-democracies.
NO, I don't think we should invade Iran to bring them democracy!

Honestly, I don't know any, but I do consider the spread of Islam to be a massive threat to western culture and liberties, and so I rather hope Iran never becomes powerful. How can the women there accept their social inferiority to men? I really cannot comprehend ever accepting being treated as a possession or as a second-class citizen.

I know some, they are okay, and not like their president. I had Iranian classmates and some pen pals in Iran, and none of them had radical views.
