Voice recognition software is integrated in Windows XP, IF you have SP 2 installed. To enable it, right click on your taskbar, select toolbars, then language bar. Like everyone has said, you do need to spend hours and hours of time training it to recognize your voice and speech patterns. After all the training, you will still have to speak in a slow monotone voice for it work somewhat well. The best of commercial voice recognition software packages is Dragon Naturally Speaking. You will also need a very good noise canceling microphone, a headset one is best.
