Hi, I have a Peugot 306 with power steering. Over the last couple of days I have noticed the steering has started to play up. When I am travelling at lowish speeds, i.e not on main roads, the steering seems to be pulling to the left, sort of juddering not just pulling with a constant force. Also, when I turn the wheel slowly left or right when I'm moving, it judders and pulls in that direction. Does anyone have any idea what this may be? At first I thought the wheel was pulling in both directions but now I think it might just be to the left. Could this be a problem with my tracking? Or is it more likely the power steering?
Thanks.

Yes I checked my fluid level when I realised I was having the problem and it was fine. Thanks for the replies I think I'l' take it to a garage tomorrow.

check the fluid level, if it is good, it is the front end. Loose wheel, bad bearing, tie rod worn, etc.

I admit to knowing NOTHING about those cars, however what you are describing could easily be a MAJOR suspension part is on the verge of failing. This could be deadly, I suggest you get it checked by a Certified Mechanic very soon.

could be that your steering needs balancing, is loose (a problem that you should get sorted IMMEDIATELY) or that your tyre pressures aren't even. check for uneven wear on your tyres as it's often quite easy to see this for yourself. Steering is a pretty bad thing to have fail on you, so I'd suggest taking it in to be looked at, even if you don't have them do anything for you.
