Dose any one here feel they bite there nails way to much or just don't stop or cant.
My friend bits her nails tell they bleed and there are no nails left but dose not stop who else is like this ?
also a silly question but dose any one pick or bite there toe nails so they look like that are no nails left is this normal?

if you get nail overlays it makes it very hard to bite your nails and sometimes stops the habit

o i am a nail biter since childhood.
i dont bite my toenails, i did as a child, but fortunately gave it up many moons ago.
i also pick at the skin on my lips, which i wonder if others do as well, sometimes til my lips bleed. for some reason i cant stop either, biting my nails or picking the skin off my lips. its almost like a soothing feeling doing both and ive come to the conclusion i will most likely do both til i die..
that hypnotism idea makes me wonder tho........

i did but, then my friend who also bit her nails would put nail polish remover on her nails and so i tried it and now i don't think twice about biting my nails. Not just nail polish but anything that taste grose will work because you think that if you go to bite your nails you'll think of the horrible taste and you won't have to think twice.

I bite my nails constantly,I have for as long as I can remember.My kids have also started biting their nails.I hate that I can't stop!It's an awful habit .I guess it's just a nervous or stress or bordeom related habit I have,wish I didn't! I've even thought about hypnotism to help me stop.

yeah im bad for that. my nails are all bit down and bleedy lookin. if your looking to quit try painting with clear nail polish. or put a coat of that New Skin stuff over them. they both taste horrible so it may deter that awful vice
