Sounds like a neat idea on the surface...

What will be required next? Restaurants provide waivers to diners just in case they contract some illness from eating? To stimulate growth, we need less government involvement in our daily lives. Restaurants volunteering the information would be more appropriate and shows responsibility on the part of the owner.

I think it's important to know the nutritional value of the foods served in restaurants, but I don't think it should be mandatory to post on the menu. I think you should be able to ask for it, if you would like it, but that information just clutters the menu (there's already enough to read on there).

well sure it sounds like a good idea but
it is a big expense for the restaurant to add that
so you can just ask if the customers are willing to pay
the extra cost for that to happen.
it'snot like the average restaurant has a chemistry lab around.
they would have to get it from their suppliers and then
combine if they are cooking things to gether.
it's a lot of work. are you willing to pay for that work in order to have the results?
why haven't restaurants done this on their own?
because it's expensive and time consuming and they need to be competitive.
if everyone has to do it then it won't hurt the competitiveness of one business.
but will make eating out more expensive no matter what.

Not the nutritional info, but definitely the list of ingredients. Then you can figure out for yourself if this is a wise choice.

I don't think so. No sophisticated restaurant will post such nonsense on their menues. The rich clients would complain too, too much!

I believe they should. It would give people an advantage to know how much calories and stuff like that they are eating. It's also perfect for diebetic people.
