Often people mix one's nationality with one's ethnicity.

A person is who is a citizen of Italy is an Italian [much like the same in America]

SO if a person from Puerto Rico AND of Puerto Rican [Latino] heritage moves to Italy and becomes a citizen; he/she can be seen as Italian.

Can Italians be caucasians? Puerto Rico has a huge population of italians. Research italians in Puerto Rico. Plus for some reason Italian men love dark women if your mind has some room for growth? In truth you will find Puertoricans who have great grandfathers from itali and Cicli and perhaps some have deeper ancestry in that region of Europe than some who live there today. no. puerto rican people are a mixture of spanish, black, and taino. Most every puerto rican has a mixture of these three in varying degrees.

If you are wondering about if spanish people (the spanish component) can be italian then you would have to differentiate genetics with culture. Culturally, spanish and italian are very similar however genetically they are not. As a matter of fact spanish people are closer to celtic populations genetically. Read any scientific paper on y-chromosone or mtdna haplogroups in Europe and you will see why. Genetically they are closer to those hated gringoes.
