When I began going to yoga, I learned that the third eye is thought of as between your eyes.

It's not literally an eye, of course, but for some reason when you relax, take deep breaths, and focus on this area, it really helps to center you.
It helped to relax me more.

I can't give you an explanation as a yogi or an in depth eastern definition or theory, but just my own experience.

Yoga taught me breathing techniques that changed my life, and I didn't even know I needed. My breathing was automatic, and wrong for relaxation and thinking clearly before.

Good luck and it's great that you are interested in this.

You have no 3rd eye, although when I studied and practiced yoga this concept was taught. Transcendental meditation ["TM"] was very helpful, but I've never received as much benefit from - let's say, 20 minutes - of TM as I have from 20 minutes of prayer, down on my knees and with my face in the carpet/rug/whatever, as a born-again Christian. Take a shortcut and try the dear Lord Jesus Christ, sometimes called "Yeshua" by Jewish believers.
