I have never been given the real answer to this so I just believe that it may be a bible question n it was god who somehow made the egg and so there was a hen n so on n so on.There would have to be an egg first for the hen to be there but what produced the egg.And that is where people will say the hen would have produced the egg.Who knows.Hope u find out I'm going to keep u on watch n check out the answers u get.Have a great weekend.Chow

Take notice that you are using the word "made" here, do you mean an act of creation or rather the result of causality?
If you are refering to the first one, I am afraid I can't give an answer, as the last time I check, eggs and hens can't just create things like God can out of nothingness.
If you are speaking of the second case, would you take into account the possibility of an endless cycle of its existence? or rather it was "just there" and is not created in any sense?

the egg made the hen. eggs are areas where dna can be altered by mutations but hens cannot alter mutations so the creature that laid the first hen egg must have been 99.99999999999999% hen and the mutations in the egg made the embryo 100% hen

If you believe in the bible, you can site the fact that God created all the animals, and nowhere in the bible does it say God created all the eggs. Therefore, the chicken came first.
If you believe in evolution, you can site the fact that dinosaurs and reptiles and fish were on the planet long before chickens, and all of those produce eggs, so the egg would have to have come first.
If you believe in the dinner table, it depends on the night you are eating. ;-)

it HAS to be that the chicken laid the egg, because what happens thousands of how many years ago, after the dinasaurs, there were these strange reptiles. and one day a reptile hatched, but it was deformed, and had wings, beak, etc. and there was the first chicken. then the chicken laid an egg, and another chicken was formed. so it is impossible for the egg to come first, if there was no chicken to lay it.

THE EGG MADE THE CHICKEN!!
two non-chicken species mated and created chicken DNA within their egg, then the chicken hatched from that egg made by two non-chickens
