it depends on which country you are in and which country you are looking to adopt from. i believe russie and ukrain are around 30k and require two trips one with both adopting parents traveling. china has just redone their laws so i'm not sure anymore as to their policies. guatumalla is around 20-25k and has a lesser wait time, usually you can bring home your child around 6-10 months of age. and only requires one trip to the country. as with any international adoption you are held to the rules of that country. you have no backing from the US (if you're from here) until you return home. make sure you have a reputable agency, i do not reccomend doing an international adoption on your own. unless you are related to this child. we looked into international and decided to stay domestic, cheaper and simpler in our opinion. and with any child make sure you have an adoption attorney that will cross t's and dot the i's for you. will save you money and heartache in the end. best to you.

It usually costs anywhere from 10,000 to 30,000 depending on which country you want to adopt from and also depends on if you are going through a private agency. Sometimes you have to pay for the biological mother's expenses, and that is additional to the 10,000 - 30,000.
