Check out ourweddingsongs.com. On the left side of the page you will find Reception-Click on First Dance Songs. You will find 2 or 3 pages of selections and they all have been rated by users such as you. If you haven't heard a particular song, try ITunes or at Amazon.com, select music, search for wedding cd's and you can listen to a portion of a song. I think you will be surprised how many song selections there really are when you look at the list.
Many Blessing to you!

You and Me Song - The Wannadies (if you don't want to do a long, slow dance in front of everyone then this is good 'cos it changes to a faster, pop tempo early on)

Can't Take My Eyes Off You - Andy Williams (at true classic and a change of tempo again to keep everyone interested)

Let's Stay Together - Al Green (smooth and classy with appropriate lyrics)

Hope these are helpful and you enjoy your day. x

One of my favorites is "Crazy Love". The original is by Van Morrison, but it has been covered by many people. I think my favorite version is by Aaron Neville. As for a reason why, you just have to listen to the emotion in the words themselves, and particularly that version.

If you're a movie fan at all, watch the movie "Phenomenon" with John Travolta. This version of the song plays towards the end of the movie, and it really pulls on the heartstrings.

CRAZY LOVE - Van Morrison

I can hear her heart beat for a thousand miles
And the heavens open every time she smiles
And when I come to her that's where I belong
Yet I'm running to her like a river's song

Chorus:
She give me love, love, love, love, crazy love
She give me love, love, love, love, crazy love

She's got a fine sense of humor when I'm feeling low down
And when I come to her when the sun goes down
Take away my trouble, take away my grief
Take away my heartache, in the night like a thief

Chorus:

Yes I need her in the daytime
Yes I need her in the night
Yes I want to throw my arms around her
Kiss her hug her kiss her hug her tight

And when I'm returning from so far away
She gives me some sweet lovin' brighten up my day
Yes it makes me righteous, yes it makes me feel whole
Yes it makes me mellow down in to my soul

Chorus

How about Dance With You by Live.. It was off of the Distance to Here album, and it's really beautiful, yet still a little rocky, and a bit more modern in my opinion. Check it out, I'm definitrly gonna dance to that at my wedding

The classic is The Carpenters' "We've Only Just Begun"

or

"Move Closer" by Phylis Nelson

A friend used "Always and Forever" by Heatwave; a work colleague "We've Only Just Begun" by the Carpenters (lyric "white lace and promises"). Both excellent choices, unlike my horrible niece who used "Everything I Do", as if the entire attendance hadn't heard it enough already!
