For me Jack Johnson is better singer and John Mayer better guitarrist. Mayer´s songs may be deeper but Jack´s lyrics makes more sense also Mayer in every cd changes his voice and style and Jack doesn´t I like more Jack´s voice, his lyrics and he is also a good guitarrist I like Mayer too but I like more the music of Johnson

Tough choice... but in all honesty even tho Jack Johnson's songs have great lyrics, John Mayer is the better guitarist...
Hands down, for me, it has to be John Mayer...he's hot, and sexy and has a great voice! Plus, he told me that my body is a wonderland lol

Tough choice, but I'd have to say John Mayer.
Although they are both great artists with some amazing music, John is a better stage-performer. Though he is known to have an attitude at times, who doesn't? Jack Johnson has some great music but John has capturing lyrics and soulful tunes.

They both try too hard to sound like Dave Matthews although John Mayer is a damn good guitar player

I love them both, but it would have to be John Mayer hands down. His songs, especially his older stuff, are beautifully written and the lyrics really say something. Plus he has an amazing voice and can really play the guitar....just listen to his new stuff.....wow
