Well sometimes it just so happens that some that come on yahoo answers don't have the opportunity to get on every day. Sometimes a few days go by before they can get on yahoo answers because they maybe had something to do or don't have a home computer or something, so naturally some of them go to voting during this time that they are away. I don't think they are doing it intentionally always. Yahoo answers may just not be their top priority in life.

It may come as a shock to you, but some people's lives do not revolve around Yahoo answers. Those people with actual lives, e.g. people who have jobs, families, housework, and other interests may not be able to be on Yahoo answers every day, or even every week.
It does not bother me when an asker does not choose a best answer, after all, if everyone did, there would be no open voting, and therefore no points for voting.

Sometimes there is NO best answer. Might as well pick one and get 3 of your points back though anyway. At least they tried to answer what they thought was the best. Lesser of the evils???

depends on the case. newcomers normallly don't choose best answer. probably they don't know how or the benefits of it.
others just post a genera opinion question and therefore deliberately choose not to pick a best answer, since all are equally correct.
but, in general, it makes me uncomfortable when people do not bother in picking the best answer, especially when the answer took me several minutes of research. i always close my questions.

sometimes there are a few good answers and it can be hard to choose one. I don't think that it is good or bad- it just is. Some people have a hard time making decisions...

I think positive. Maybe they have more than one answer that can be the best, maybe none. This way, you just don't pick one for the hell of it.

I never let my questions go to voting. I always pick my favorite answer. When I don't get picked as best I want to punch babies in the face. Have a nice day.
