If you were born as the opposite gender you are now, would you be able to accept your new gender or would you live as gay?

My q has to do w/the fact that I always considered my personality more male than female although never felt the urge of having a homossexual experience.

1. You have your gender identity--yours seems to be male.

2. You have your sexual orientation--observe it and determine whether it's one of the three we know about: heterosexual, bisexual or homosexual.

The two are separate issues. One does not have to determine the other.

I was born female and heterosexual. Since age 51, I'm a homosexual. I have never been bisexual. I am very much a female.

If I were born as the opposite gender of what I am now, I would accept my new gender, because it is far more peaceful to accept what is than to argue with reality.

Right now, I live as gay.

Whatever orientation I find myself to be, I would accept that, because it is far more peaceful to accept what is than to argue with reality.

I recommend self examination and owning who you are.

You clearly have some gender issues. If you are questioning your gender, and sexuality then you have some deeper issues. I have a freind who is undergoing gender change, I knew him as male and now as he starts to be female. He was confused about gender and sexuality, he thought with in male body that he was gay, he liked guys that was natural, but male on male did nothing! he thought that as a female, thats what who she is. Early in life she thought she was attracted to females, but was in herself reaching out for the error nature made! I sum she is now becoming female, and god the UK make it hard! but she is much happier, and I just see her a) as my freind, b) as a normal hetrosexual female. At the end of the day it dont matter, it is just who you are and how you feel. I cant say I totally understand, but I have never been there, all I can do is be there for my freind, I hope this helps?

If I were "born" female instead of male, I would be hetero.

If I were "made" female, as in did the transgender bit, I would a lesbian because it is women that excite me. My morals would tell me that would be wrong, so I would probably refrain from sex or portray myself as hetero. Since I can't imagine me kissing men, much less doing more, I doubt that I would marry. Even if I did become a practicing hetero with a spouse, I would inwardly be a lesbian.

But you asked if I was born female, then I would be female, though I would probably still find males ugly. That is a hard point to get around.

Well, I really was born the opposite gender I am now. I switched from pretending to be a straight guy to living as a lesbian woman and am very happy with the choice I made.

I am mtf transgender. My gender is female but my body is male. I like women and never liked men. If I were born the opposite gender (male) I would probably still like women.

Honestly, I don't know. I know I was born female and I identify as female.
I know many trannies who feel otherwise, but I've never even questioned my gender. I know who I am and I'm totally comfortable in it.

I know who I'm attracted to, which happens to be both male and female, but I just can't say what my sexuality would have been had my brain been organized differently. There are simply too many factors to concider.

That all depends on whether or not we are that "same person" born into this lifetime. If we are comfortable with who we are personally at a soul level then it matter not if we are male or female.
