I don't know if I should post this or not but I recently moved 300 miles from where I used to live (South Georgia to North Georgia). Every year I would get back on my taxes anywhere from 3000 to 4000 but when I went to file the other day all they could do was 1600. I don't know the difference. A friend told me he must have been a little shady and found some loop holes cause the more he gets me back the more he gets paid. Ok, so I need to know some one in the Chattanooga TN or Dalton GA or even surrounding areas that could help me. Any info would be great or you can e-mail me at tim_stewart68@yahoo.com.
Thanks.

You have not provided enough information to answer this question. What is your income in the years you are comparing, what were your deductions or were you filing with the standard deduction? What was your filing status and what amount of withholding did you take on your paychecks? Did you change any of these from year to year? I think you should consult a tax attorney or cpa. An initial consultation should be free. However bring your past 3 or 4 years of returns and All receipts when you talk to them so they can review it. Something changed. Good luck.

Did you change jobs when you moved? It could be you changed your withholding (less taken out.)

I don't know about Georgia, but you could have moved to an area where local taxes are higher.

Anything else change in your life at the same time?

BTW, it is better for you to get less of a refund since that means your withholding (what they take every payday) is more accurate...what you really need to be concerned with is the total tax that you paid...did it go up/sown/stay the same in proportion to you income? If it was nearly the same, then you were better off having less taken out and getting a smaller refund.

We had no nationwide Debt 9 years in the past. If my historic past serves me a republican got here into place of work and altered all that. 100 years in the past this stuff did not exist. 100 years in the past it changed into 1908 and Taft changed into President. nicely remembered for his 4 years. i'm attempting to imagine of the time period which will be used if the U. S. had maintained possession of all this infrastructure and owned the only share of an market. Darn - what's the different of loose commerce and capitalism. In 1907 there changed into an journey called the Panic of 1907, also customary because the 1907 Bankers' Panic. Sound time-honored? My opinion is once you study propaganda like this use that spark to study the historic past and search for information. Why changed into this nicely worth posting? for my section posting and emails like this help to spread lack of understand-how.
