My husband and I have never been to a club together and never went seperately. Ive asked many times and everytime its he doesn't have time or he just doesn't want to go... But everytime there is an excuse of why he's not going. Tonight is one of my friend birthdays and it at a nice restaurant/lounge. I asked him if wanted to come with me he says no... Then he says later on he's going to be going to a club were one of his friends work at for tonight. Does it sound like he just doesn't want to go with me to places like that or what. We've been married for a year now and there is a twenty year gap in age... whatcha think?

Yes, it sounds like he just doesn't want to go with you to the clubs. Perhaps it's the music he doesn't like...? Or maybe he's uncomfortable around your friends...? You should just go to your friend's party without him. It's ok to have nights out apart from each other...as long as neither one is messing around.

Let me guess you're the older one, thats the reason why he doesn't want to go he probably loves you and all at home, but he most likely has a problem with the age gap and just not saying anything. Sorry Stella you need to check your man and see where his heart is if hes ashamed of your age he should've thought about that before he said I DO

You say there is a twenty year gap in age...maybe he is not comfortable with your friends???
My bf and I have a 14 year gap (I am older), and I know he is not comfy with some of my friends...we had talked about this and started to find a new circle we are both ok with and go out with together sometimes. Then, we also get together separately with our respective friends.

could just be he doesn't think he would be comfortable with your friends. so why not compromise and one night go out to where he wants and the next night go out with where u want to go. age gaps may eventually cause problems within a relationship.

I think that he doesnt want to go out with you because you would see him with other women or you will see other women that he has tried to date already.
