Assuming p = frequency of dominant allele and q = frequency of recessive allele

a) q = the square root of 3/56 = .23
p = 1-q = .77

b) q = the square root of 13/56 = .48
p = 1-q = .52

a) q = the square root of 53/56 = .97
p = 1-q = .03
