When I plug my ipod into my usb port, it will not come up on my itunes! Is there a way to open my ipod without it opeing automatically. I am trying to update it, but it is not registering when I plug it in! The ipod is the primary registered to the itunes!

Try resetting your iPod. To do this, press and hold the Menu button on the wheel and the center button until the apple shows up on the screen. It should appear on your iTunes. The manual might have better instructions or go to www.apple.com and click the support tab.

uh mayb ur computer is slow or it isn't plugged in well if it is and its still not working...maybe there is sumthing wrong with the cable so use a friends own and try again...if this doesn't work then hold on to the cord and get a friend to do the rest...good luck
ps.i don't think itzs a good idea to open your ipod up...i just don't mayb u shud get a pro

There may be a problem in the USB. Restart the computer and try again.
