I would like to install a FREE (or very cheap) message board on a website I am building. PHP Preferred. If you have any suggestions, please send them to me. Also, please include some pros (and maybe cons) of each. Thank you very much!

While phpbb is the best FREE one, purchasing vBulletin for about $160 is by far the absolute best.
This assume you're wanting to allow others to post. If you just want to post by yourself, then get blogging software. Do a google for "free blogging software" and I'm sure you'll find tons.

well there are commercial ways - like InvisionFree sells their forum scripts for a price. I would just find a good script service of forum scripts to see what you need:
