You will love it in Raleigh, N.C. I used to live there a few years ago and I loved being in that area. I relocated for a job. What kind of work are you interested in? I recommend that you register online with the newspaper and check the classified area. You can also checkout the other links below for jobs. If you cannot get the job right away, try a temporary agency in Raleigh and sometimes you maybe hired permanent. That will also get you in the area quicker and finding a job maybe a little more easier. Click links below to get information

Other cities you may want to look into are;
Knightdale, Garner & Cary. All of these cities are 10-15 minutes outside of Raleigh. All of these area are very nice and smaller than Raleigh.

Local newspapers are the best. You will find inexpensive housing around NCSU (Hillsboro street). The RTP (research triangle park) is a hot spot for techy jobs, and realestate and building are booming industries there as well. With raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill being so close to each other - the job markets are pretty good, as well as vast aray of housing options. The Spectator is also a local weekly paper, and they have a decent classified add section. You may also want to check out craigslist for Raleigh. Cary & Apex are outside of Raleigh, Apex housing runs lower than Cary, and Cary has many good restaurants and a large mall.

Good luck!
