Old school or new school which one has touched your life.

Mine is Concrete Angel by Martina McBride. It's such a good song and I can relate to the lyrics.

The Streets of Heaven by Sherrie Austin. It's beautifully written, makes me cry every time I hear it.

I don't think I have ever hear one that HASN'T touched me in some way or another.
Right now, the song that I have deemed "My anthem" for the new year is Settlin' by Sugarland.

I ain't settlin' just gettin' by
I've had enough so so for the rest of my life
Tired of shootin' too low so raise the bar high.
So, I'm just not waiting up this time
I ain't settlin' for anything less than everything.

:)

A Tramp on Your Street by Billy Joe Shaver. I'm not a country fan, but I love that guy. I like that particular song because it's a true story about him sneaking to go see Hank Williams when he was just a kid. But more than that, it shows what a truly humble man Shaver is, and it brings out the quality of his true character.
