There are peer to peer TV services with many premium channels. If you have a decent connection it can be very good but isn't always 100% reliable, they are, however... FREE!

These seem to be the most popular at the moment:

Try E-bay. A lot of ppl seem to be selling TV cards that allow you to watch free TV channels. the downside is that the majority of these channels are foreign and not UK based.

If you already pay for a TV licence at home, just get a standard TV card and plug in a TV aerial cause you only need pay TV licence per household. Check to see if you get freeview in your area, if so you might as well get a freeview TV card or usb receiver.

Well, maybe not for free... There are boxes available to buy that allow you to hook up your PC monitor to a cable connection. But if you don't have cable, then you'll just be watching fuzzy network stations. When I was in college, my (then boyfriend) husband had one for his computer in his dorm room which was nice cause we could go crash in there to watch tv when his roomies were being annoying or weren't watching something we wanted to watch or playing Xbox. It had a remote and everything, so you could have your computer already on, go lie down on the bed, click the TV button, and then start flipping channels. Then if someone IMed you, you could click the Computer button and see who it was, then go back to your show. I think he got it at Walmart for like $20 if I remember correctly.

If you mean over the internet no. You are still paying for the internet. the only way to watch for free is to not have cable or whatever and just have the 3 or 4 basic channels with an antenna

Buy a USB Freeview dongle. It will come with all the software you need, although I'd recommend buying a better aerial.

there is a programme named satellite tv on pc, which you have to buy.
but you can downoad for free from here:
http://dl.phazeddl.com/671251/Satellite_TV_For_PC_-_2006_Elite_Edition/linksbasket
This will give you a link to rapidshare where you an download the programm and the key generator.
If you dont make it from there try phazeddl.com and searcj for satellite pc
it has channels from all over the world. I tried it, but most of the channels don't work. it is quite useless for me. but you make find someting interetsing there. basically, satellite pc is nothing but a myth...

None of the internet TV services are free and they are crap and not worth trying. if you have a tv card in your pc just connect your cable/satillite or what ever to it. if you want to see previews of tv shows just go to http://tv.yahoo.com/
