Fantastic! The ONLY conclusion that can be drawn echos the republican mantra, "do as I say and NOT as I do" or "better you than me". Excellent question and presentation of facts.

The conclusion can be drawn are
1. You do a good copy paste from other websites
2. You, unintentionally I'm sure, forgot a few republicans:
Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) – National Guard
George Herbert Walker Bush, pilot in WWII.
Senator Ted Stevens, R-AK, WW II
Sen. John Warner, R-VA - Served in the Navy 1945-1946 as a RM3; reenlisted in the USMC 1950, 10 years service in Marine Corps Reserve, retired as Captain.
Congresswoman Heather Wilson, R-NM, served in the Air Force 1978-1989
Former President Gerald Ford, served in the Navy, WWII
Former Senator Strom Thurmond
Former Senator Bob Dole - n 1942, Bob Dole joined the Army's Enlisted Reserve Corps to fight in World War II.
Chuck Hagel - two Purple Hearts and a Bronze Star, Vietnam
Senator Jeff Sessions U.S. Army Reserves, 1973-1986
Colin Powell.
Representative Wayne Gilchrest (R-MD), served in USMC in Vietnam; wounded in action
Representative Sam R. Johnson, combat missions in both Korea and Vietnam, POW in Hanoi from April 1966 to February 1973
3. You really don't like Republicans.
That's about all that can be drawn from your list.
I couldn't find any military service reference for the following democrats:
Sen. Robert Byrd
Rep. Nancy Pelosi
Sen Harry Reid
Sen Dick Durbin
Sec Byron Dorgan
Sen Chuck Schumer
Sen Steny Hoyer
Sen Mark Pryor
Sen Ken Salazar
Sen Joe Biden
Sen Bill Nelson
Sen Barak Obama
Sen Evan Bayh
Sen Ben Cardin
Sen Carl Levin
Anyone know?

I agree with Jesse, you are not presenting equitable facts.
Just because someone "serves" in the military doesn't make them good and just because someone has not, doesn't make them bad.
I served in Vietnam in a combat position for 2 tours in the late 60's and early 70's and I have to tell you, the majority of people that claim war veterans status did nothing to earn it. Simply being in the military is no big deal. I knew a lot of people that put in their time to sponge off Uncle Sugar.
Check the entire list of demo crates and republicans a little more thoroughly and closely. Take Gore for example, didn't he lie about where and what he did? The old adage, "If you are not a Democrat when you are young you have no heart, if you are not a republican when you are older, you have no brain" holds very true.
Welfare families are also employed by the government and contribute just about as much to this nation as most of your boys. Where do you fit in?

None. We had a draft for the majority of those years. Some would say that if you didn't serve, you were a draft dodger. That wouldn't necessarily be true. All the soldiers who served in war zones know that war is not fun. They also know the costs of war. What many haven't learned is that war solves no problems and serves no purpose other than to fuel greed, corruption, and acts as population control against specific groups of people. Granted, when you are given guns and the means to fire back, you have a chance of survival, but much of that fuels more hatred, bad feelings, and even more war. It's a never-ending battle. Why is it okay to interfere in another country's methods for upholding their laws and ideals? Just because we don't agree doesn't give us the right to attack. Also, once you kill, it becomes easier to kill again. One has to wonder if people join our armed forces to get a "license to kill" or if their motive is really to protect our country from all enemies, foreign and domestic? Additionally, we wonder, if soldiers consider their duty to protect our country from all enemies, foreign and domestic, why aren't they protecting our borders? Illegal immigrants are invaders and cannot be trusted to do anything except wrong. If they are willing to break the laws of entry, work without papers, and generally disregard our laws, why should we consider them anything other than invaders and enemies?

No conclusions can be drawn from it. It really has no meaning, despite your furious and desperate attempts to pretend otherwise. And why isn't Howard Dean or Bill or Hillary Clinton on that list? Hmmmm? You can't exclude them simply because the facts belie your premise.
And it shows your hypocrisy, because people like you said service didn't matter in 1988, 1992 and 1996. And since the most promising candidates for 2008 probably will not have served, this issue with once again disappear.
You can't have it both ways.

Excellent work Humanist.
Jesi, maybe you could list the pertinent players in this little drama Humanist DIDN'T list? His list seems durn complete to me. The only one I don't see on here is Independant vice Presidential candidate James Stockdale and that may have only been for space reasons. Oh and of course, President Bill Clinton, who didn't serve in any capacity, something the Republicans at the time made much noise about.

The only conclusion that I can draw is that there are a bunch of Democrats in Congress who served in the Armed Forces and a bunch of Republicans who served in the Armed Forces. Since your list isn't comprehensive I can't say for sure which party has more elected leaders that have served in the Armed Forces...

It looks like the war party (republican party) actually knows nothing about it. I guess that's why they are so eager to send young men and women off to die. Good work man. I love it. Now we see the true face of Republicans.
